Changes to the Environment Agency Flood Warning Service on the River Stour
The Environment Agency has made some changes to the Flood Warnings they issue for the River Stour. These changes should make Flood Warning messages more relevant to affected Little Chart residents and easier to understand.
Residents are encouraged to register for the service via the website (www.gov.uk/sign-up-for-flood-warnings) or Floodline (0345 988 11 88).
(If you are already registered to receive Flood Warnings you will automatically receive these new Flood Warnings.)

The Environment Agency will be carrying out the usual annual weed cutting maintenance work on the Great Stour and its main river tributaries from Ashford through to Sandwich. This work started in mid July and aims to be finished by the end of November 2015. This activity helps improve water conveyance.
